Slalom. The most exhilarating of the skiing races shown here from the original concept artwork produced for the 1980 Winter Olympics. This is the original gouache reference drawing. There's a spontaneity in the ‘original’ vision so to speak, and as such they take on a very different and painterly feel. They were produced in situ on the slopes where I was skiing at the time.
